This condition, called presbyopia, occurs when the eyes’ lenses begin to lose elasticity, making it difficult to change focus or accommodate different focal lengths. During this procedure, the eye’s aging lens is replaced with a specially designed lens that is designed to allow you to see clearly near and far without glasses or bifocals. In most cases, the improvement in vision is noticeable the very same day – and it is permanent because the new lens never needs to be replaced. Once you’ve had your vision corrected with PermaClear® you’ll never need cataract surgery since the new lens cannot develop a cataract.
PermaClear® provides the best results when done bilaterally (on both eyes). After the aging lenses are replaced, additional procedures may be used to further sharpen or enhance your vision. We include a range of refractive procedures in the PermaClear® GOLD package, such as UltraSight LASIK or LRIs. We will optimize your vision when adjustments are necessary to ensure the best outcome.

VISION REDISCOVERED
For those who want vision in three visual ranges (distance, intermediate, and near) our PermaClear® SILVER utilizes established Multifocal IOL technology along with years of refractive expertise.
This combination provides results similar to PermaClear® GOLD, but with less intermediate and less continuity of vision. Patients may experience a little longer adaptation time and some of the glare and haloing. This package does not include refractive enhancements.
Includes: Premium Extended Depth of Focus or Multifocal lens implant, astigmatism treatment, and follow up care for six months.
Option to add-on Femto Laser- Assisted Cataract Surgery
BRONZE CLASSIC PermaClear is an entry-level option for patients who would like clear distance and intermediate vision. We use a combination of a sophisticated Extended Depth of Focus in each eye or an aspheric monofocal lens. These lenses have been shown to reduce higher order aberrations and provide greater contrast sensitivity with minimal glare and haloing. Reading glasses may be necessary approximately 30% of the time.
