Alexander Eye Institute – Meet the Staff

Dr. Avery D. Alexander Medical Director Board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Alexander is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery. A graduate of the University of Virginia, he received his medical degree at Stanford University Medical School, and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the noted Kellogg Eye Institute. Like many of his Appleton / Green Bay LASIK and cataracts patients, Dr. Alexander stays very active. He is trained in the martial arts and enjoys the active lifestyle of the Fox Valley. He is an avid tennis player, as well as an accomplished pianist.

	Kim RN, COT/ROUB, Ophthalmic Technician I have been working at Alexander Eye Institute for 5 years; in addition I have 10 years of Ophthalmology experience. I assist Dr. Alexander in surgery as well as doing testing prior to the patient's surgery and post-operative exams. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, golfing and spending time with family and friends.		Kimberlee Refractive Counselor I have worked at the Alexander Eye Institute for the past 6 years. My time here is spent working with new patients discussing surgical options, assisting Dr. Alexander in both PermaClear and UltraSight LASIK surgery, and working with patient during their post-operative care. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching new and old movies, shopping, and spending time with my wonderful family and friends
	Lynn Ophthalmic Technician   I am a refractive technician and enjoy working with patients and helping prepare them for surgery. In my free time I enjoy traveling and being outdoors, cooking and spending time with family.		Jennifer Billing Administrator As one of the newer addition to the staff, Jennifer is excited to share her 13 years of knowledge and experience in medical billing with AEI. She is a very active person, making time for friends and family as much as possible, as well as cooking, movies, traveling and sports.
	Katey RN I am a Registered Nurse working in the Alexander Surgery Center. I enjoy the luxury of meeting a wide variety of wonderful people that visit us and my goal is to make their time in the surgery center as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my amazing family, taking photographs, reading books, gardening, vacationing with family and friends and summertime sports on, or in the water.		Sue Office Manager Sue Elm office manager of AEI has now been with the company for about 1 1/2 years. She comes from many different backgrounds. Sue enjoys the multi-functions of her job. In her free time she enjoys walking, reading, spending time with my family and friends
	Bene' Receptionist I am a Receptionist and enjoy greeting and meeting patients daily. In my free time I enjoy walking, reading, spending time with my family and friends.		Nitin Ophthalmic Technician Nitin brings 26 years of cataract and refractive surgery experience to the practice. Nitin has been involved with surgery camps for a long time while operating cataract cases free of cost in India. Helping people make a difference in their lives has become a passion - "one eye at a time". A former state hockey player, Nitin likes to continue to be active. In Nitin’s spare time he enjoys various sports. Spending quality time with his family remains to be of great importance.
	Kelly Refractive Counselor With 23 years experience in optometry and ophthalmology I am able to educate on the complex human eye. Working as a refractive counselor with Dr. Avery Alexander and his dedicated team giving the gift of sight is truly amazing! I have always loved to be very active in sports and remain doing so through my two sons. I love warm weather which means living in Wisconsin, some travel is necessary.		Tara RN I am a registered nurse working in the Alexander Surgery Center. I enjoy meeting a variety of new patients and helping them feel relaxed and comfortable during their surgical experience. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. We love going to our cottage on Legend Lake and enjoy boating, swimming and snowmobiling. I also enjoy traveling even if I don't get to do it often enough!
